Senior Conceptual Estimator

Our Senior Conceptual Estimators are responsible to provide and/or coordinate full conceptual estimating services throughout the entire preconstruction phase of a project. This starts with an Owner’s general idea of what they want to have built, through all phases of design, through the construction documents. These persons must be able to accurately project and/or coordinate the construction cost during each phase of design for all specification sections of the project. A bachelor degree in building construction, construction management, or civil engineering is strongly preferred. Also, a minimum of three years of full time construction field experience and six years experience of full time estimating of hard dollar and conceptual bids is required. The full time estimating experience should be weighted toward conceptual estimating. This person reports to the CEO.

Project Superintendent

The Project Superintendent is responsible to provide overall on-site and technical management on the construction project site. This person oversees all on-site craft supervision, personnel, construction equipment, and means and methods of construction. This includes supervisors and personnel from our own company’s and from subcontractors. The Project Superintendent supervises the total on-site effort to ensure project is constructed safely, in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. A minimum of fifteen years experience is required as a Project Superintendent with an CM at-risk and self perform or hard money general contractor. Project experience needs to be with hospital construction, university, commercial, parking structures, and educational type projects. Extensive experience is required in building multiple projects as a Superintendent with per project value in excess of $20,000,000. This Person reports to our CEO.

Project Manager

The Project Manger is responsible to provide overall administrative and technical direction for one large, complex project, or multiple medium sized projects. Oversee subordinate Assistant Project Mangers, Project Superintendents, and Project Engineers. Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of Assistant Project Mangers and onsite Superintendents to ensure projects are built on schedule, within budget, safely and to the quality requirements of the project. Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures. This significant emphasis on self-perform of concrete work and rough and finish carpentry. Experience is required in Hospital, Corporate Office, University, Commercial, and Educational projects. A bachelor degree in building construction, civil engineering or construction management is strongly preferred; also, a minimum of eight years of construction experience is required, with six years based in the field at the jobsite location as a builder on larger complex projects. This person reports to the Project Executive.

Project Engineer

The Project Engineer is responsible to assist the Project Manger and the Project Superintendent in providing the overall administrative and technical direction, and field operations support of a project. Field Support Duties (Field Engineering) include assisting the superintendent in quality control and schedule analysis, document tracking, assisting ACA work crews to understand ACA self perform work, and assisting with subcontractor coordination. Office Support Duties (Office Engineering) include inputting project scheduling information into our computerized scheduling software, updating the schedule on a regular basis with the guidance of the Project Manger, processing and reviewing vendors detailed shop drawings, performing regular project audits to verify percentage of work complete, assisting in purchasing and negotiating contracts for the various components of the project, analyzing, quantifying, and quoting of changes to the contract, construction engineering and quality control, reviewing safety process being used on the project, distributing revised documents to all parties involved, handling of spare parts and Operations & Maintenance Manuals, maintaining official project logs and documentation files, attending and participating in site meetings, sharing knowledge, information, and ideas when needed, and directing, training, and developing of co-op and intern engineers working on the project, A bachelor degree in building construction, civil engineering, construction management, or business management degree is strongly preferred. The Project Engineer reports to the Project Management Staff.
